The Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 have arrived, but not everyone needs an always-on display or an abundance of advanced sensors geared toward activities they may never do (ahem, diving). Luckily, if you’re a first-time smartwatch buyer, the latest Apple Watch SE is a great alternative that’s currently on sale at Amazon starting at $199 ($50 off) as part of the retailer’s Prime Big Deals Days event.

Like the first-gen model, Apple’s midrange timekeeper offers the usual set of health and fitness tracking features, allowing you to monitor your sleep, heart rate, and a variety of exercises. It lacks some of the more advanced hardware found on newer Apple Watch models — including the new temperature, EKG, and blood oxygen sensors — though it includes the same processor as the Series 8 and original Ultra, which is 20 percent faster than the chip in the original. It also features Crash Detection and a revamped compass app that introduces waypoints and backtracking, making it well suited for hikes even if it’s not the most rugged watch available.

Apple’s latest Watch SE is good value overall, especially since it’s currently matching its lowest price to date. Plus, with futureproof hardware and support for watchOS 10, you needn’t worry about it becoming quickly outdated — a boon when you consider the shelf life of some wearables from Samsung, Google, and others.

If you’re tired of your earbuds always falling out when you’re running on the treadmill or working out, it may be time to finally invest in some exercise-friendly audio. That’s where Anker’s Soundcore Sport X10, one of our favorite pairs of wireless earbuds, come in. Normally $69.99, the rotatable in-ears are currently receiving the discount treatment at Amazon as part of the retailer’s fall Prime Day event, which sees them marked down to an all-time low of $51.99 ($18 off).

The Sport X10 solve one of the biggest problems for gym-goers: the irritating sensation you feel when your earbuds are starting to jettison from your ears. The platform-agnostic buds are equipped with ear loops like other workout-friendly earbuds, but unlike the competition, the pliable hooks can be rotated up to 210 degrees. This gives you the ability to find the perfect fit, making them more comfortable and helping them stay in place even during the most rigorous workouts.

That’s not the only reason Anker’s value buds are great, though. The Sport X10 also carry an IPX7 rating, which means they’re able to stand up against heavy sweat, rain, and accidental splashes from a garden hose. (It happens to the best of us.) They also provide powerful sound with punchy bass, up to eight hours of playback (or 32 hours with the included charging case), and a push-button transparency mode for when it’s time to chitchat with your fitness pals.

While there’s no active noise cancellation to be found here, the Sport X10 are still some of the most ergonomic and feature-packed earbuds you can find under $70. The fact that you can choose from 22 different EQ settings in Soundcore’s mobile app is really just a plus.

Much like smart locks, video doorbells, and other smart home tech, budget robot vacuums have come a long way in the past few years. Case in point? iRobot’s ultra-affordable Roomba i4 Evo, an exceptional cleaning companion that’s receiving a big markdown as part of Amazon’s October Prime Day. Right now, you can get it for just $199.99 ($200 off), which is $100 below its usual sale price of $299.99.

If you’re looking for something more capable, Walmart is taking 50 percent off the high-end iRobot Roomba j7 Plus and selling it for $399, which is essentially the typical asking price of a midrange model. That’s not bad, given the premium model comes with an automatic disposal tank, unlike the standard Roomba i4 Evo.

At this point, it’s safe to say that iRobot is one of the most noteworthy names in the world of robot vacuums — and both models continue the company’s streak of producing superb, puck-shaped vacuums. Although the i4 Evo features slightly less suction power than the j7 Plus, both vacuums offer more than enough power to gobble up any dirt and debris that might be hanging out on your hardwood floors or in your carpet, especially when paired with their pair of rubber brushes. The latter won’t tangle as easily as bristle brushes, which can easily get caught up when they encounter long strands of hair.

As for the software, both the i4 Evo and j7 Plus offer some of the best there is, which is one of the reasons they’re some of our favorite robot vacuums. The main difference between the two is that the i4 Evo doesn’t offer keep-out zones or the AI-powered obstacle avoidance found on the j7. However, it does offer intuitive smart mapping, which allows it to learn and recall the different rooms in your home and thus create customized cleaning schedules, as well as spur-of-the-moment sweeps. Conveniently, you can also control either vacuum with Alexa or Google Assistant, along with a mobile app for Android and iOS.
