<p>We've just spent a few minutes with <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/brands/htc/37" class="sbn-auto-link">HTC's</a> <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/rezound/2558" class="sbn-auto-link">Rezound</a> for Verizon, the high-spec handset rumored for the past few months as the Vigor. Let's just cut to the chase: this is a <em>beefy</em> phone. As they did on the <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/sensation-4g/139">Sensation</a>, HTC employs a trick in which it rounds the edges of the device to give the appearance (and feel) that it's a little less thick than it actually is, but the trick works with less dramatic effect here - there's just no lying about a shell this deep (13.65mm, according to the official fact sheet). As expected, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.theverge.com/products/brands/htc/37">HTC's</a> finally announced the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.theverge.com/products/rezound/2558">Rezound</a> (long known as the <a href="http://www.theverge.com/2011/08/26/htc-vigor-picture-verizon-lte-hd-screen/">Vigor</a>) at an event here in NYC today, and it's pretty much the powerhouse of a phone we thought it would be. Internally it's got a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, Verizon LTE, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. <p>It's pretty safe to say that the long-rumored <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/brands/htc/37" class="sbn-auto-link">HTC</a> Vigor is going to in fact be called the <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/rezound/2558" class="sbn-auto-link">Rezound</a>, and that it's headed to Verizon very, <em>very</em> soon. A <em>Droid-Life</em> reader spotted the sign below at a local Verizon store, and while it doesn't detail the full specs of the phone, it reveals the deep <a href="http://www.theverge.com/products/brands/beats/189" class="sbn-auto-link">Beats</a> branding (with the red glowing soft keys and the earbuds) and LTE speeds. Nothing denoting the 720p display and dual-core Qualcomm Adreno 220 processor are shown in the picture, but something tells us we'll be hearing about those at <a href="http://www.theverge.com/2011/10/25/2513523/htc-event-scheduled-for-november-3rd-rezound-vigor-coming">HTC's event later this week</a>. Most recently, it cropped up in a screen shot from Verizon's Device Management system leaked to <em><span class="sbn-auto-link">Droid</span> Life</em>, which also suggests that it will sport 4G LTE.
