<p>Next year's Pro iPhones are both "expected" to have the "tetraprism" zoom lens Apple is using for the 5x telephoto camera in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a new post <a href="https://medium.com/@mingchikuo/iphone-15-pro-max%E7%9A%84%E4%BA%A4%E4%BB%98%E6%99%82%E9%96%93%E5%AE%8C%E5%85%A8%E5%8F%96%E6%B1%BA%E6%96%BC%E5%A4%A7%E7%AB%8B%E5%85%89%E7%8D%A8%E5%AE%B6%E4%BE%9B%E6%87%89%E4%B9%8B%E5%9B%9B%E9%87%8D%E5%8F%8D%E5%B0%84%E7%A8%9C%E9%8F%A1-%E6%BD%9B%E6%9C%9B%E9%8F%A1-%E9%8F%A1%E9%A0%AD%E4%B9%8B%E5%87%BA%E8%B2%A8%E9%87%8F-%E5%9B%9B%E9%87%8D%E5%8F%8D%E5%B0%84%E7%A8%9C%E9%8F%A1%E9%8F%A1%E9%A0%AD%E5%96%AE%E5%83%B9%E9%A1%AF%E8%91%97%E6%8F%90%E5%8D%8720-%E4%BB%A5%E4%B8%8A-iphone-15-pro-max-55a8711abb17">from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo</a>. That tetraprism optical system, which is intended to replicate a 120mm lens of a full-frame camera, is exclusive to the <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2023/9/12/23859756/iphone-15-pro-max-price-features-release-date-apple">iPhone 15 Pro Max</a>, so if it comes to the smaller iPhone Pro next year (which I'm guessing will be called the iPhone 16 Pro), both the Pro and Pro Max might be on closer footing.</p>
<p>Here's how the tetraprism system works, as described by Apple's Misha Scepanovic <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/ZiP1l7jlIIA?si=k-yQPLkK09AwldgB&amp;t=4448">during Tuesday's "Wonderlust" event</a>:</p>
