<p>Apple has announced the date of its next big event: September 9th, 2025, at 1PM ET / 10AM PT. The event, which has the tagline "Awe dropping," will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.</p>
<p>This is where we expect to hear more about the iPhone 17 lineup, which rumors (and at least <a href="https://www.theverge.com/apple-rumors/714925/iphone-17-pro-leak-rumor">one supposed public sighting</a>) indicate will <a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/715715/the-iphone-17-pro-might-be-oh-so-orange">add a Google Pixel-like camera bar</a> on the rear. It's also another opportunity for Apple to talk about its <a href="https://www.theverge.com/mobile/710980/apple-ios-26-preview-liquid-glass-ux">Liquid Glass</a> software revamp that's part of iOS 26 and its other software updates, and the future of Apple Intelligence features like AI upgrades for Siri.</p>

<p>Apple's iPhone 16 event <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/9/4/24232248/apple-event-september-iphone-16-date-time-live-stream-watch-how-to-rumors">is in three days</a>, and today, there's a new leak (from "reliable sources" <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2024/09/06/iphone-16-pro-4k-120fps-video-camera/">speaking to <em>9to5Mac</em></a>) that claims the Pro version will support the ability to record video in 4K at an impressively smooth 120fps. According to that same source, iPhone 16's <a href="https://www.theverge.com/2024/1/19/24043948/iphone-16-camera-button-shutter-release-the-information-report">rumored new camera trigger button</a> will support changing from the default camera app to a third-party one.</p>
