The baby steadicam’s one of the most popular gadgets the company’s ever sold, because it’s so good at automatically capturing stabilized video of whatever I want, <a href="https://www.theverge.com/24152949/dji-osmo-pocket-3-opinion">far better than a phone</a>. What I don’t love is how <a href="https://www.theverge.com/tech/659791/dji-osmo-pocket-3-price-hike-tariffs">DJI jacked up the price of this gadget twice this year</a> — but a new sale brings it almost all the way back to pre-Trump tariff levels, and the clone version is now even cheaper.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">The <strong>DJI Pocket 3</strong> is now a flat <a href="https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Stabilization-Rotatable-Touchscreen-Photography/dp/B0CG19QXWD">$575 at Amazon</a>, $585 <a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1788803-REG/dji_cp_os_00000301_01_osmo_pocket_3.html">at B&amp;H</a>, and $598 <a href="https://www.walmart.com/ip/DJI-Osmo-Pocket-3-4K-120fps-Handheld-3-Axis-Gimbal-Stabilizer-CP-OS-00000301-01/5170537083">at Walmart</a>. It’s $599 <a href="https://www.adorama.com/djiop3.html">at Adorama</a> and <a href="https://www.bestbuy.com/product/dji-osmo-pocket-3-3-axis-stabilized-4k-handheld-camera-with-rotatable-touchscreen-gray/JJ82LX7JFZ">Best Buy</a> and <a href="https://www.target.com/p/dji-pocket-3-4k-handheld-camera/-/A-91695577?TCID=OGS&amp;AFID=google&amp;CPNG=Electronics&amp;adgroup=56-14&amp;srsltid=AfmBOor30e_Z0cCPq0sZV8UQfCyG7iwMfP4yIryg7_DCNKBGsS5VnJhjjJs">at Target</a> and <a href="https://www.microcenter.com/product/673356/dji-osmo-pocket-3-action-cam">Micro Center</a>, all down from $799.99 post-tariffs. That’s $200–$225 off.</p>
<div class="product-block"><h3>DJI Osmo Pocket 3</h3>
<div class="product-description">The Pocket 3 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor, three built-in microphones, and a 2-inch rotatable screen. If you’re unhappy with the video your phone captures, DJI’s compact cam makes it easy to get high-quality, stabilized footage, whether you’re vlogging your adventures or filming a wedding. <a href="https://www.theverge.com/23931074/dji-osmo-pocket-3-price-release-date-hands-on">Read our impressions</a>.</div>

<h3>Where to Buy:</h3><ul><li><a href="https://www.rei.com/product/235382/dji-osmo-pocket-3"> <strike>$499</strike> $438.99 at <strong>REI</strong></a></li><li><a href="https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1788803-REG/dji_cp_os_00000301_01_osmo_pocket_3.html"> <strike>$499</strike> $439 at <strong>B&amp;H Photo</strong></a></li><li><a href="https://www.bestbuy.com/product/dji-osmo-pocket-3-3-axis-stabilized-4k-handheld-camera-with-rotatable-touchscreen-gray/JJ82LX7JFZ/sku/6560933"> <strike>$499</strike> $439 at <strong>Best Buy</strong></a></li></ul></div>
<p class="has-text-align-none">But I’d probably recommend the <strong>Creator Combo</strong>, which is now $240 off today (see links below). I find myself using some of its extra parts almost every single week. For instance, I use the battery handle when I’m filming timelapse video — and I’m speaking into the DJI Mic 2 wireless lapel mic for my narration in the video below, even though I mostly filmed this one with an iPhone.</p>

Here’s the whole set:</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">You might want to be aware of <a href="https://www.amazon.com/DJI-Osmo-Pocket-Stabilization-Touchscreen/dp/B0F414TRPK/ref=sr_1_3?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.7Ih7ZrpmMOje4RNXXLoSR8qdTTHJ4truBHt2ECL55yICxJlz3yQRfRH5FXoxpfIjiY9kNEDI6TTFcmcLvRMqjFCZF15Gb3lLhZzdObWLJ0jy1MdTEk4px0JkbGw1t5qsuzmJZwwVSZ1dHfIoGrS6vAv0GevZSGOQmViUK7BZRDorx0eLkVGkJw-OyytKT3VizcPf15xqc7s4JLZ7UQ18egWCXnwRxlkxEcG9P0h06Sg.jcbof5-xmhm9y__PJEA0_3_63A-G9N6bwiG752fQwE8&amp;dib_tag=se&amp;hvadid=699161035348&amp;hvdev=c&amp;hvexpln=0&amp;hvlocphy=9032047&amp;hvnetw=g&amp;hvocijid=14531696234736145444--&amp;hvqmt=e&amp;hvrand=14531696234736145444&amp;hvtargid=kwd-2266283968680&amp;hydadcr=19792_13355587&amp;keywords=dji+osmo+pocket+3+combo+creator&amp;mcid=c9e0217e19183b3eab734bd34b85dc1e&amp;qid=1761332549&amp;sr=8-3">this alternate $729 package at Amazon</a>, BTW, which doesn’t come with many of these parts.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">None of these prices are quite as low as DJI’s pre-tariff prices of $519 for the camera and $669 for the Creator Combo, but they’re the best we’ve seen since April and the first major sale on the camera.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">Alternatively, if you want almost exactly the same camera without support for DJI’s wireless microphones, Amazon has the<strong> Xtra Muse</strong> <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Xtra-Vlogging-Stabilizer-Focusing-Photography/dp/B0FL9DN3GY">for $500 today thanks to an on-page coupon</a>. As I discuss <a href="https://www.theverge.com/report/795016/xtra-muse-dji-osmo-pocket-3-us-customs-tariffs">in my full report</a>, it appears <em>to be</em> the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 by a different name, not your run-of-the-mill clone. It produces the same high-quality footage with the same steadiness, just with no DJI Mic support.</p>

<p class="has-text-align-none">DJI does seem to be working on <a href="https://www.notebookcheck.net/DJI-Osmo-Pocket-4-surfaces-in-new-picture-with-upgrade-shown-from-Osmo-Pocket-3-vlogging-camera.1145562.0.html">an Osmo Pocket 4 with dual cameras instead of just one</a>, but I wouldn’t necessarily bet on it making it to the US! DJI just launched <a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/806093/dji-osmo-mobile-8-smartphone-gimbal-tracking-module">its Osmo Mobile 8 phone gimbal in China</a> without releasing it globally, and other DJI products have been <a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/781827/dji-osmo-nano-4k-action-camera-multifunctional-vision-dock">skipping the US</a> ahead of a <a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/688384/dji-is-now-six-months-away-from-a-us-ban-it-wants-you-to-make-your-voice-heard-now">likely US ban</a>.</p>
