That’s right, kids! Windows Phone Mango has achieved an important milestone: the code’s been released to manufacturers. As you well know, this means that Microsoft’s partners are now able to dive in under the hood and make sure the software gibes with particular hardware and networks. Plan on seeing it roll out to the consumer this fall.

As befitting its RTM status, the coding stage is now complete, which means that there are sure to be features and bug fixes not yet implemented when we first previewed the update last month. Hopefully Microsoft’s rigid system of requiring OEMs to match hardware chassis specs means that they won’t have to spend too much time ensuring Mango works with current and future hardware.
