Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S announced, available October

At its press conference at IFA in Berlin today, Sony has announced the Xperia Arc S, an evolution of the Xperia arc released earlier this year. As with the Neo V unveiled a few days ago, the Arc S will feature a “3D sweep panorama” mode that ekes 3D images out of its single, non-stereoscopic rear camera that can then be outputted to your 3D television over HDMI -- but more importantly, it ups the processor from 1GHz to 1.4GHz, which Sony Ericsson claims will lead to performance improvements of up to 25 percent. Look for it in October.
