Nexus S Android 2.3.6 update confirmed to be rolling out, may have tethering problems (update)

We've been able to confirm with Google that news of an Android 2.3.6 update for the Nexus S is accurate -- it's rolling out over the air (to Rogers, Fido, and Sprint customers so far, it seems) as we speak, and it includes some sort of voice search fix. What we haven't been able to confirm, though, are a few reports that the update is breaking USB and Wi-Fi tethering. Personally, if I had to choose between broken voice search and broken tethering, I'd take the voice search bug every time -- so hopefully this gets sorted out quickly.

If you’ve received the update and want to report on your experiences, please drop us a line in comments.

Update: We’ve confirmed that the Sprint Nexus S 4G isn’t getting Android 2.3.6 quite yet -- Canada appears to be getting first crack at the update.
