T-Mobile first two 42Mbps "4G" smartphones, the HTC Amaze 4G and Samsung Galaxy S II, can now be pre-ordered online. The Amaze 4G features a 4.3-inch qHD screen and the advanced 8-megapixel camera introduced in the MyTouch 4G Slide, while the Galaxy S II is largely identical to the international version, aside from a larger 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen and dual-core Snapdragon 1.5 GHz processor instead of Samsung's Exynos to support the modem needed for T-Mobile's 42Mbps network. They are available for $259.99 and $229.99, respectively, with a two-year agreement and $50 mail-in rebate. Both phones will be available in stores on October 12th.
