Two of T-Mobile's flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S II and Amaze 4G, haven't been able to use the carrier's Wi-Fi calling feature, but that's about to change. Starting November 13th, you'll be able to use either handset to make phone calls over a Wi-Fi network, which is useful when you're indoors or in a bad coverage zone, or if you just don't want to eat into your plan's minutes. The phones have always had the hardware to support Wi-Fi calling (though you'll want to make sure you have the proper SIM card), and other recent phones like the Sensation 4G support the feature, so it's not exactly clear why it wasn't turned on to begin with, but we figure better late than never.

We’ve reached out to T-Mobile for comment, and will update here when we hear back.
