Nintendo is really and truly taking advantage of its Wii and 3DS systems as platforms, not just bits of hardware in need of a new wave of accessories every six months. Both machines are going to get Hulu Plus "by the end of the year," but the 3DS is really going all the way, with a big software update in November that adds 3D video and 3D stop motion capture. The 3DS is also getting updates to Mii Plaza and Find Mii, with new 3D animations and music videos coming to the eShop as well. It might not be enough for a 3DS sales turnaround, but for people with an investment in the 3DS, it's nice to see Nintendo supporting the platform in a hands-on sort of way.
