Motorola may collide with Google momentarily, but for now it’s still burning cash — $32 million, to be exact, on revenue of $3.3 billion. Executives probably aren’t heartbroken, though, since that’s 11 percent more revenue than the company managed this time last year, and two million fewer dollars flowing the wrong direction. Also, the company didn’t fail to ship tons more phones, sending 11.6 million mobile devices to stores, including 4.8 million smartphones. Unfortunately, the Android tablet market didn’t improve for Moto, who only punched out 100,000 Xoom slates last quarter. So, when is Google going to be Motorola’s knight in shining armor? Technically, it hasn’t been properly decided yet; the firm scheduled a meeting this November 17th for stockholders to vote on the deal.
