Dropbox today launched Dropbox for Teams, which bundles its file-syncing services in a way that’s targeted to small business use. The new service works just like Dropbox always does, while offering a few enterprise features like centralized billing and extra support. There’s one giant difference, though, and it’s the price: most Dropbox users don’t pay a nickel, but businesses are going to be charged $795 / year for five users with 1,000GB of shared storage, and $125 annually for each additional user with 200GB of additional storage after that. That’s pretty expensive, especially for larger businesses — which might be the only ones who can afford it. We’ll see how this goes — anyone signing up?
