Nvidia has been surprising us with recent revelations regarding their Tegra 3 Kal-El chipset and prototypes abound; what we haven’t seen are shipping products. That looks to be changing as ZTE unveiled one of their first devices sporting the quad-core processor at PT/Expo Comm China. The ZTE T98 tablet is an Android 7-incher, running Honeycomb 3.2 and sporting 1GB of RAM, 16GB of local storage, and both front- and rear-facing cameras (2-megapixel and 5-megapixel, respectively). While Nvidia has touted the Tegra 3’s 1080p decoding muscle, you won’t be taking advantage of it on the device’s 1280 x 800 display — though the relatively meager 4000mAh battery may appreciate the break. The device also looks to be 3G-only at the moment, with no word yet on pricing or availability.
