Panasonic hasn't sold a smartphone outside Japan in several years, but it looks like it's ready to broaden its scope again. PRWeek reports that the company is searching for a PR agency to help it launch smartphones in the UK, and in five other countries around Europe. The devices on tap are apparently Android phones like the P-07C, which has a 4.3-inch touchscreen and some clever features for customizing Android. Panasonic makes a number of other intriguing phones, though, like the Lumix 101p, a waterproof handset with a massive 13.2-megapixel camera — we wouldn't be surprised to see those hitting the global market as well. No word on when or if Panasonic's expansion plans include the US, but it sounds like we'll be seeing Panasonic phones hit Europe sometime next year.
