A note from streaming music service Spotify just appeared in our inbox announcing a press event on November 30th. CEO Daniel Ek will be in New York for it, as well as a few promised “special guests.” The invite is frustratingly vague, but notes a “new direction for the company.” MP3 store or iPad app? Will playlists finally be searchable from within the app? Is the player finally getting the social features it so sorely needs? Whatever the news, we’ll be there next Wednesday.
