Samsung Illusion coming to Verizon tomorrow for $79.99

Forget the Galaxy Nexus — Verizon is squarely targeting the midrange this Thanksgiving week with the announcement of the Samsung Illusion, an Android 2.3-powered slab with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. Yes, that's Hummingbird, not Exynos, meaning this handset carries over similar guts from last year's round of original Galaxy S (and Nexus S) devices. Other features include a 3-megapixel camera, 802.11n support, integrated Swype, Bluetooth 3.0, and external storage expansion up to 32GB with 2GB pre-installed. It'll be available online starting tomorrow for $79.99 on contract, but if you want to grab it from a brick-and-mortar store, you're in for a wait — it won't be launching there until January.
