Google I/O is growing so large that the company’s decided to push it back, extend it to three days, and make it harder to get into — the event will now take place from June 27-29th 2012, and attendees will have to show off some coding skills as part of their application. Google says the new plans are an “unexpected opportunity,” and that the rescheduled event will provide attendees with more time to attend sessions, visit partners in the Developer Sandbox, and meet with the engineers behind developer platforms and APIs. And, of course, Google will have ample time to launch new products and give away all kinds of free stuff. Additional details are sure to come, but in the meantime, you can tell Google what you’d like to see happen in the extended session.
