We had a positive first experience with the Toshiba Portege Z830 back in September, and now the company has outlined pricing and specs for three different Z830 configurations on its UK site. For £899.99, you’ll get a 1.4GHz Intel i3-2367M processor, 128GB SSD, and 4GB of RAM; the £969.99 model has identical specs but includes Windows 7 Professional rather than Home Premium; finally, the £1099.99 option steps it up with an Intel i5-2557M processor running at 1.7GHz.

Toshiba’s UK page makes no mention of availability of the i7 processor we heard about at IFA and also makes no claims to the laptop’s battery life (we heard 8 hours back in September). However, the Z830’s US page does claim that the i7 processor will be an option — hopefully we’ll get more concrete information on this laptop’s US pricing and full specs soon. As for the UK, we’re hearing reports that the Z830 will be in consumers’ hands by the end of the month.
