Kindle Fire software update version 6.2 is available now to download. This is the second update to the original 6.0 release. What's odd here, is that Amazon's 6.2 update page looks almost identical to the 6.1 update page it replaces. Kindle Fire owners can update by tapping the Quick Settings icon and hitting Sync. The update will download in the background and automatically install.
