Netbook News has some hands-on impressions of the Android 2.3-powered Kyobo e-Reader with Mirasol’s 5.7-inch color e-paper touchscreen. The display, as you can see for yourself in the video below, is mighty impressive with refresh rates fast enough to display videos. Apparently the colors aren’t particularly vibrant and the viewing angles aren’t great, but considering there’s no backlight and all of the color comes from reflected ambient light (just like the colors of a butterfly’s wings), it’s not bad. You can get the e-reader’s full specs on our product page, but if you can’t wait to get some time with Mirasol’s screen, you’ll have to book a flight to South Korea where it’s available now for 349,000 won (about $300).
