Flurry Analytics has also published its findings on new phone and app purchases over the weekend, noting that a staggering 6.8 million new iOS and Android devices went live on Sunday. That’s three and a half times the December average. App downloads also exceeded any previously known levels, jumping to 242 million on Christmas Day.
