The offices of Dutch mobile operators Vodafone, KPN, and T-Mobile were raided today by the country’s competition authority (NMa) to “investigate whether cartel agreements have been made.” The agency apparently was suspicious that the companies were engaging in price fixing, and all three mobile carriers have indicated that they will cooperate with the NMa in the investigation. It’s only been a couple of months since the NMa reduced fines on the same three companies after finding that they were sharing information on mobile phone subsidies ten years ago. The results of NMa’s current investigation won’t be available for a while — we’ll let you know when we find out more.
