Speaking at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference this week, Comcast CFO Michael Angelakis and Comcast Cable President Neil Smit made it clear that the company does not plan to sell tiered data plans for its broadband internet service. The decision stands in contrast to expected moves by the rest of the industry towards the usage-based plans to help cope with increases in data consumption due to video streaming and other downloads.
