HP updated webOS to 3.0.4 with a number of performance tweaks and some new features back in October, and PreCentral reports that a 3.0.5 update is now available for members of the webOS early access program. It’s a fairly routine update that’s focused on fixing bugs and making minor improvements — support for HTML5 video in all screen orientations and low disk space download alerts are the only noteworthy additions for webOS users. PreCentral says webOS 3.0.5 is in release candidate 1 stage, which means that HP’s in final testing of the update. It’s certainly nice to know that HP’s keeping up with bug fixes for the platform, but this doesn’t change the fact that webOS is still nervously sitting on the chopping block.
