Viewsonic has launched two new 10-inch tablets, the ViewPad 10pi and ViewPad 10e. Both run the aging Android 2.3 OS, though the 10.1pi also dual-boots Windows 7 Professional.

The 10pi is definitely the more powerful of the 2 models specs-wise, with an Intel Oak Trail z670 processor, 2GB RAM, a 64GB SSD. and a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display. It’s also got 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and an optional 3G radio for data on the move, though it’s not clear whether this is GSM or CDMA. There’s a microSD slot to bolster your storage, and a couple of USB ports for connectivity. In terms of imaging, a 3MP main camera sits on the back, with a 1.3MP webcam on the face. All of this is powered by a 3200mAh battery, in a form factor 18mm thick and weighing around 29 ounces.

The ViewPad 10e (pictured below) sports a 9.7-inch IPS display with a slightly lower 1024 x 768 resolution. It’s powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, with 512MB DDR3 RAM, and 4GB internal storage with a microSD slot for expansion. 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 are both present, though this is a Wi-Fi only affair. There’s a 1.3MP webcam up front, but no rear shooter. As you might expect, it’s slightly thinner than its Windows-running counterpart at 9.1mm thick and weighs about 22 ounces, despite having a heftier 5400mAh battery.

Both tablets are available in the US from today, though there’s no word on price for now.
