If you’re a Verizon FiOS customer and Showtime subscriber, you’re now able to watch the premium cable channel’s content anywhere you like with Showtime Anytime. This service, which launched back in October for Xfinity subscribers, includes 400 hours of Showtime’s original shows as well as “hit” movies and sports content available streaming to your computer or iPad. Just log in with your FiOS credentials and you can stream anything available as well as use “play shifting” — a feature that lets you pause on one device and resume watching on a second. There’s no word on whether or not that means you can start watching on your TV and pick it up on your iPad, but it doesn’t sound like it from the description. While many smaller cable providers are still excluded (only FiOS, AT&T U-Verse, and Xfinity offer the service), it’s good to see more subscribers have access to content in places besides the living room.
