Over the past few months, Motorola has been releasing various “projects” to select users in the “Motorola Feedback Network.” Most of these project have been minor updates to various devices, allowing Motorola to get feedback on its bugfixes and whatnot in order to prevent the kind of debacle we saw on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. However, it looks like Motorola’s most recent project for the Xoom tablet is a little more ambitious: it’s rolling out testing for Ice Cream Sandwich.

A confirming screenshot posted on Android Central has the version number at the “base install” of Android 4.0.3, which makes perfect sense as the Xoom was technically a “Nexus-class” device for Motorola and Google. Hopefully it won’t be too long until Ice Cream Sandwich sees a wider release — if previous history on these project is any guide, it shouldn’t be a big wait.
