New endless running games aren’t exactly rare, but Dark Run manages to set itself apart thanks to its top-down view and dark, menacing setting. As with all games in the genre, the goal is simply to run as far as possible — and in the case of Dark Run you’re attempting to avoid an encroaching shadowy cloud that consumes everything it touches. You’ll have to navigate your way through randomly generated rooms, while not only avoiding the shadows, but also numerous monsters that seem to quite enjoy chasing you around. It’s a challenging game made even tougher by your limited view of what’s up ahead.
