After months of quiet development, Razer’s Project Fiona gaming tablet appeared today in a new FCC filing. According to the documents, the latest version of the Windows-based tablet trades the permanent side-mounted controllers we saw at CES for a detachable control scheme. The filing also makes mention of a tablet cradle and a rechargeable controller, which is powered through the tablet itself. The tablet reportedly features a 5600mAh battery, roughly half that of the current generation iPad, while the controller accessory operates on a 2800mAh battery. What we still don’t know, however, is what other changes have been made to the device’s internals. At CES, Razer representatives claimed that the device would be powered by an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor and an unspecified graphics chip. Fortunately, the FCC filing and Razer’s recent social media campaign suggest that answers may be coming sooner rather than later.
