Twitter has just revealed that it plans to release an official app for Windows 8 in the near future. The social network has never had an official app for Microsoft’s PC platform, though it does have apps for Mac OS X, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, and other platforms. An official app for WIndows 8 may come as a god send to the four million new Windows 8 users that have been clamoring for one ever since the platform’s official release this past weekend. Unfortunately, Twitter hasn’t provided many details about the app or when it will actually be available, so users may be waiting some time for the official goods.
