Equipped with the mentality that people have become numb to the overpowering presence of advertisements, Korean artist Shin il Kim has created a series of installations to promote a more active form of information consumption. As explained by The Creators Project, “Active Anesthesia-the Full of Square” displays commericals on one side of the installation, while showing distorted images and shapes of the sames ads on the other. “Duration to Intuition,” on the other hand, utilizes sculpted letters and projected images to present an alternative and less passive way to experience advertisements. To see more images of both installations, head over to The Creators Project.
