After being officially announced earlier today, an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is coming to the Nexus 7. A reader of EE Times has sent in screenshots of Android 4.1.2, which appears to be rolling out in batches — we haven’t yet seen it ourselves. While not a huge update, it does promise a new landscape orientation for the Nexus 7, shown below. Previously, the tablet’s home screen was permanently fixed in portrait. It’s also supposed to squash some bugs and improve performance. We’re expecting it to come to more people in the next hour, so keep checking for updates.
