There are few better ways to spend a weekend than watching old cartoons, and thankfully Warner Bros. has spruced up its YouTube channel with a number of 1940s-era Superman shorts from Fleischer Studios. According to io9, the YouTube videos are actually the remastered versions from 2009 DVD set of the series — so they look quite a bit better than what you’ll find at the Internet Archive. There are a total of nine episodes available as of now, and we’ve embedded the first below, which should help bring you back to a simpler time when newspaper reporters flew planes and Superman punched laser beams.
