It’s hard to think that this feature wasn’t included in the Google Drive mobile apps for Android and iOS when they were originally released, but today Google finally added the ability to edit spreadsheets (or “Google Sheets” if you like to use the company’s lingo) from within the apps. The latest version of Google Drive lets you create new spreadsheets or edit existing ones, and see others’ making edits to the documents in real time. Google also says that the apps include better text formatting when pasting content from one Drive doc to another, and Android users can also edit tables within docs and add shortcuts for specific documents directly to their home screens. The updated Google Drive apps are available in the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store now.
