Curiosity will make a guest appearance at tonight’s New Year’s celebrations in New York City’s Time Square, where millions watch the ball drop each year. According to the rover’s official Twitter account, NASA will broadcast a “special message from Mars” on the massive screens to celebrate the end of this year and ring in the next.
