Google has just announced on Twitter that its next I/O conference will take place from May 15-17th, with registration opening sometime in early 2013. I/O is now Google’s biggest yearly event, especially after its showing this year in June; the company used the developer conference to introduce the Nexus 7 tablet, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and the experimental Nexus Q media streamer. Google also had a few surprises, including a live demonstration of Project Glass with skydiving, bike jumps, and the childlike wonder of Sergey Brin. If you’re trying to attend in 2013, be sure to stay vigilant for registration updates, since tickets for Google’s 2012 I/O conference have sold out in record time every year (it took just 20 minutes in 2012). If Google repeats this year’s format, those at home will be able to following along with Google I/O Extended viewing parties.
