Nintendo has a gift for 3DS owners across Europe: complimentary Wi-Fi. The company has formed a partnership with free-hotspot.com to provide its customers with free access to over 5,000 Wi-Fi hotspots throughout European territories, many of which can be found at fast food staples like McDonalds, KFC, and Subway. US gamers have enjoyed free Wi-Fi usage at select airports since December, but it's safe to say that this deal goes a good bit beyond that. The agreement comes just as the PlayStation Vita nears release in new territories next month — considering the 3G-enabled version of Sony's portable will offer complimentary use of AT&T hotspots worldwide, it would do Nintendo well to extend similar convenience to its own loyal user base. And hey, should you find yourself at the Lourve, keep in mind that your 3DS can also serve as a handy tour guide.
