Google Docs for Android gains offline access and tablet enhancements

Google Docs might be a great solution if you’ve got an internet connection handy, but if one isn’t handy, your remote document won’t be of much use. Google remedied that last year by enabling offline Google Docs on the desktop, and now they’re providing the same functionality for Android users. To enable the feature, users can choose any file in Google Docs on their Android device and select “make offline” — these files are then automatically updated when the user is on a Wi-Fi connection. Google’s also updated Google Docs for Android tablets with high-resolution document viewing. Hop on over to the Android Market for the Google Docs app update, available now.
