The full panel of the US International Trade Commission today affirmed an administrative law judge’s October 2011 ruling that Apple doesn’t infringe four HTC patents. HTC had filed its original infringement complaint against Apple at the ITC back in 2010, and the full commission agreed in December to partially review the judge’s decision. Today’s ruling by the commission terminates these proceedings against Apple, leaving the option open for HTC to appeal to the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals within the next 60 days. HTC still has another case pending against Apple at the ITC that includes five patents Google assigned to HTC last year.
