Canon has confirmed that its EOS-1D X DSLR will be available this coming April.

We’ve received official word from Canon that April is now the month photo professionals will be able to get their hands on its latest flagship DSLR, the EOS-1D X. The company had originally aimed to have the full-frame 18.1-megapixel camera — complete with three processors and a 51,200 max native ISO — in shops by March, but Canon admitted to Amateur Photographer that “development delays” would push it to late April. Need a refresher on the specifications for the EOS-1D X? Our database has you covered. We’ve also put together a comparison to show how Canon’s latest fares against the D4 from chief rival Nikon.
