Toshiba's AT200 super-thin Android tablet (known as the Excite X10 in the US) has quietly gone on sale in the UK, exclusively at Carphone Warehouse. Measuring just 0.3 inches thick and weighing under 1.2 pounds, Toshiba is calling the AT200 the world's thinnest 10.1-inch tablet. Aside from a svelte design, the tablet features a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 LED-backlit display, a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor, and 1GB of RAM. Camera duties are fulfilled by a 5-megapixel unit at the rear and a 1.3-megapixel shooter up front. We've had two hands-on sessions with the AT200, one way back in September, and another last month, and have been left with some mixed impressions about the tablet's build quality.

It's disheartening to see a new tablet running Honeycomb this late in the ICS game, and although Toshiba has confirmed to us that the AT200 will be upgradable to Android 4.0, there's no ETA just yet — that's pretty disappointing given that we first saw this tablet over six months ago. The AT200 is priced at £399 (around $630) for the 16GB model and £449 ($710) for the 32GB, more than Motorola's Xoom 2, and in line with the iPad 2 (albeit undercutting Apple by £20 on the 32GB model). If you're interested in picking one up, they're available from Carphone Warehouse's site now, and should be available in stores from February 15th.
