We first got a look at the Acer Iconia Tab A510 back at CES, courtesy of Nvidia, but at that point Acer was mum on the details. Now it's ready to talk, announcing that its first quad-core tablet is heading to the US and Canada. The A510 runs Android 4.0 on a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 display, and promises up to 13 hours of video playback thanks to a giant 9800mAh battery and its Tegra 3 processor. Otherwise, it's a fairly standard Acer tablet: dual cameras, Acer's clever "Acer Ring" pop-up launcher, and the Polaris Office 3.5 suite of productivity apps. It has 32GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot for up to 32GB more. It's technically an "Olympic Edition" tablet celebrating Acer's sponsoring of this summer's Games, but that appears to entail only the addition of the Olympic rings logo on the back of the tablet. The tablet's available for pre-order now, for $449.99 — no word yet when it'll actually ship.
