Sky customers in the UK can now access the satellite provider’s Anytime+ on-demand service no matter what ISP they use. There’s no additional cost for the service, simply requiring you to hook up your Sky+ box to your router, but you previously needed a Sky broadband subscription in addition to a TV package. The available content includes movies, TV series, the ITV Player, and (later this year) yet another way to access the BBC iPlayer, though it all depends on the details of your subscription. Features like Anytime+ used to be used as drivers for Sky TV and broadband — however, with the impending launch of Now TV it looks like the company is trying to expand its reach to as many customers as possible.
