Facebook is rolling out two new additions to its commenting system this week, allowing its many millions of users to link to comments and avoid ones automatically flagged as spam. The social networking giant has enabled a permalinks feature that lets you simply click on a comment’s time stamp to get a permanent link for that individual comment, useful for sharing with friends even if the URL length tops 100 characters on photo comment permalinks.

Low quality and pre-moderated comments that are considered as spam will now be hidden automatically instead of being grayed out. Facebook page administrators will be able to modify spam comments by clicking on an ellipsis to reveal options to unmark them as spam, delete, or block the commenter. Both options may appear minor at first, but to some Facebook users they will be a very welcome addition.
