Developers have had their hands on MeeGo Harmattan 1.2 since early this year, and now Nokia is rolling out the N9 update to the rest of us. It’s actually been available in select countries since last week, and Nokia says that the update has made its way to 70 percent of N9 handsets, with more to come during the next few weeks. The second major upgrade for the OS adds a number of features to the device, including app folders, photo tagging through face recognition, a Google Talk app for video calling, and an improved Nokia Drive app that includes new routing options. If you haven’t received the update yet, Nokia says to “just wait a little while more” as it should be available to all N9 owners within the coming weeks. Nokia has also announced that a “small but valuable” 1.3 update is already in the works, and by the time it rolls out you might just be able to dual-boot your N9 with MeeGo and Ice Cream Sandwich.
