War Drum Studios is bringing developer E. McNeill’s popular PC game Auralux to the Tegra Zone game store this month, says Nvidia. Soon to be available on Android devices with one of Nvidia’s Tegra 2 or Tegra 3 systems-on-a-chip, Auralux is a minimalist real-time strategy experience that, similar to games like Galcon, abstracts away from the complexity of most games in the genre with dead-simple mechanics and vibrant artwork, featuring a pulsating, ambient soundtrack reminiscent of Rez. Unlike the PC version of Auralux, the Tegra version will be offered as a freemium download, so while later levels are available as paid additions, the initial download will be free for everyone to try out. Neither Nvidia nor War Drum have announced a specific release date, but we’ll update you if we hear anything.
