Just as Verizon's internal MAP documents had indicated, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is now being offered for $199.99 on a new two-year contract — a $100 savings over yesterday's MSRP. The price cut brings the flagship Android 4.0 handset in line with some of VZW's other top-tier devices like the HTC Rezound, Droid 4, and LG Spectrum. More importantly, it matches CDMA rival Sprint's asking price for the Galaxy Nexus — you won't be collecting that extra $40 Google Wallet bonus that Sprint is offering, but you get Verizon's much larger LTE footprint in return. Unfortunately for those of you in the midst of an existing agreement, the off-contract price hasn't gotten any lower and remains stuck at $649.99.
