CNET reports that Google plans to push its Chrome browser for Android out of beta testing “in a matter of weeks,” according to remarks made by Google VP Sundar Pichai. Pichai says that the team is “triaging, tracking, and trying to make it very stable,” and that it’s focused on eliminating bugs and improving stability. The first beta for the browser came out on February 7th, and it’s been updated a couple of times since. Most recently, the Chrome beta received tab syncing support across multiple computers, the ability to request offline versions of websites, and home screen bookmarks. We were impressed with Chrome’s speed and syncing ability when we initially got our hands on it back in February, and the full version should be a nice upgrade to your stock browser — but you’ll need Android 4.0 or greater to enjoy it.
