In addition to details about next-generation LTE modems, talk of $199 Tegra 3 tablets, and a vision of a future where hardcore video games flow as freely as cable TV, Nvidia showed off a hot new unreleased ultrabook at its 2012 Investor Meeting. That laptop is the Asus Zenbook Prime UX32VD, the very top of the line, with a full 1080p IPS screen and GeForce GT 620M graphics despite its diminutive size. Unfortunately, this particular prototype laptop didn’t come with a bootable operating system, so we weren’t able to see just how potent its graphical prowess or gorgeous its screen might be, but we did come away with a very positive impression of its rigid, high-quality brushed aluminum frame, large (and slick) trackpad, and surprisingly deep backlit keyboard.

As you can see in the pictures, the UX32VD isn’t quite as sleek as its counterparts, as its wedge-shaped design has a bit of a chin, but if that chin houses enough graphical potency and additional battery life to make the girth worthwhile, that sounds a pretty good tradeoff. We hear the laptop will come with a Core i5 ULV processor and start at $1,299, but we’re not quite sure when.
